Features Of 2014 BMW 4 Series Convertible

The 2014 BMW 4 series convertible was spotted for the first time outside the BMW Nürburgring workshop in Germany. It was dressed in Melbourne Red so it was easy to spot. The BMW 4 series Coupe seems to have dropped a part of Camo on the open top model. With all the cladding removed the 4 series coupe looks great. Though the view of the top folding into the rear bodywork, a bit harsh. Due to its retractable folding hardtop it does not look streamlined as the 3 series coupe.

The 4 Series has kept the same rear-end styling of the outgoing 3 Series Convertible. The foldable metal top shows the similar styling cues. Two versions of 2014 BMW 4 series convertible are expected to be launched, those are 428i and 435i. The 428i model is provided with turbocharged four to deliver 255 lb-ft of torque and 240hp. While 435i model is equipped with turbocharged 3.0-liter straight six to offer 300 lb-ft of torque and 300 hp. Both the models will come with rear wheel drive and a six speed manual. The optional will include automatic eight-speed and xDrive. The engines are borrowed from Coupe. As compared to 3 Series Coupe and Convertible BMW 4 series is expected to reduce the weight gap. The price of the base model is expected to start from $41,125.

The 2014 BMW 4 series convertible will enter the production later this year and will be available in the showrooms before the end of the year. So start bugging your nearby BMW dealer.
